About the Project
The Ghanaian concept of Sankofa was the inspiration behind this project, which instigated a whole of school inquiry exploring and celebrating identity and cultural diversity.
We trained staff in participatory arts and narrative therapy techniques and together with our wonderful collaborators ran workshops in storytelling, visual art, song writing, music production, photography, video, dance and movement. This culminated in two award winning music videos that have been screened widely.

“My family and my mum were very proud of me because in all the videos we were expressing our cultures and where our families come from. It matters to share these stories.”
